Cascade Reel Repair is a small, independently owned shop focused on quality workmanship and dependable service. Every reel is personally inspected, cleaned, serviced, and repaired with attention to detail.
I work on spinning, baitcasting, and conventional reels, from routine maintenance and tuning to drag, bearing, and repair work. My goal is simple: honest service, fair pricing, and quality repairs that get you back on the water with confidence.
Servicing the Reel
5-Step Deep Cleaning Process
Every reel that comes into Cascade Reel Repair receives a thorough cleaning, inspection, and service to help restore smooth, reliable performance.
1. Complete Disassembly
Your reel is carefully disassembled so each component can be properly cleaned, inspected, and serviced.
2. Deep Cleaning & Inspection
Parts are cleaned and degreased using an ultrasonic cleaning system when appropriate. Components are then inspected for wear, corrosion, damage, or other issues that could affect performance.
3. Part Replacement When Needed
Worn, damaged, or failed parts are identified and replaced as needed. Any replacement parts or additional repair costs will be discussed before installation when applicable.
4. Lubrication & Bearing Service
Gears, sliding surfaces, springs, bearings, and other moving components are cleaned and lubricated using quality reel lubricants appropriate for the application.
5. Reassembly & Function Testing
Your reel is carefully reassembled, adjusted, and function-tested to make sure everything is operating properly before it is returned to you.

Regular maintenance can help extend the life of your fishing reel, prevent corrosion, reduce premature wear, and keep it performing smoothly on the water.
For reels that see regular use, especially in saltwater, annual servicing is recommended.
